Practising law in zimbabwe?

i'd like to know if the local legislation of zimbabwe permits foreign judges to practice in zimbabwe. if yes, under what conditions can the foreigner practice in zimbabwe and where can i get more information about this, i.e. is there some type of literature relating to foreigners practising law in zimbabwe?
Answers:
I have given the address below for the Zimbabwe Law Society, which can give you the precise requirements.
However, their website is down and i rather suspect they have little or no control over what happens in Zimbabwe (in legal terms) at the present time.
Ordinarily, in most commonwealth and ex-commonwealth countries, the requirements are to pass either the local bar exams or, if you are already qualified in a parallel jurisdiction, complete a further bar exam for the country in which you wish to practice.
You will not be able to sit as a judge in Zimbabwe- they are appointed by the government.
But it can't have passed your attention that Zimbabwe is a country on the brink of bankruptcy, if not actually bankrupt. All the departments of civil administration (save for the police and army) have all but collapsed. Inflation has surpassed the point of hyper-inflation to the effect that printed money is worthless.
In those circumstances passing the Zimbabwe Bar exams may be a somewhat theoetical acheivement.
Isn't the law in Zimbabwe written onb Mugabe's loo roll? He wipes his a r s e and rips it up as he chooses?
I would think it would be different than the UK after all Scottish law is different from English law
The contacts on this link might know the answer. http://www.lexisnexis.com/presscenter/ho...
But seriously, why would you want to do this? What are the chances of your even being paid? How would you survive with no money coming through and raging inflation? Is it possible to practise law with integrity in that country and keep yourself out of trouble? There are few things worse than being a lawyer from a jurisdiction with rule of law and finding yourself in a country without rule of law, which is what Zimbabwe is.
